The missionary journey of the Servants of Suffering, which took place from 18 to 23 March, was not merely a visit, but a genuine encounter with God’s grace within our communities. From Italy, father Carlo Donati and father Ciro Savino undertook this journey all the way to California with total dedication, arriving in Modesto and Watsonville as close pastors, ready to serve with humility and love. In every visit to the sick, in every confession listened to with patience, and in every retreat shared, God’s comfort was made manifest, touching the depths of the hearts of those who took part.

It was a time of blessing that transformed perspectives, healed invisible wounds and rekindled the fire of faith in many souls. This journey has helped us to refocus our spiritual lives, reminding us of the importance of sincere dedication, of love in everyday life and of the charism that calls us to serve even in the midst of suffering Father Carlo and Father Ciro were truly living instruments of God: their closeness, their joy and their witness have left an indelible mark on entire families and in our communities, renewing hope and strengthening our unity.

Today we express our deep gratitude, not only to them for their generosity and tireless commitment, but also to the Association and to every person who, through sacrifice and love, makes these missionary journeys possible. Thanks to you, the faith remains alive, grows and is shared. These encounters are not a luxury, but a necessity for the soul: they are moments when God comes to meet us and reminds us how much He loves us. May the Lord richly reward every effort, for through you, He continues to touch hearts and transform lives.
